Fun Run FAQ

What is the schedule for the Fun Run?

The Fun Run will take place on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at South Granville High School located at 701 Crescent Drive, Creedmoor NC.  Registration will begin at 8:15 am and the 5K Run/Walk will begin at 9 am.  Games for kids (bounce houses, face painting, etc) will begin shortly after the start of the Run.  Baked goods and hot dogs will be on sale throughout the event.  The event is scheduled to end no later than noon.

How do I register for the Fun Run?

You may CLICK HERE to register online and pay by credit card or you may register in person at FBC Academy (108 S. Main Street, Creedmoor NC) to pay by check or cash during the hours of 7 am until 6 pm (M-F)

Is there a rain date for the event?

If the event is cancelled due to weather a rain date for the event will be scheduled.  Check back to determine the rain date.

What is the route of the Fun Run?

The Fun Run will begin in the South Granville High School parking lot, proceed down Hawley School Road (with the assistance of local law enforcement), continue to Hawley Middle School, returning to South Granville High School.

What is the cost for the event?

Early Bird Registration (Through March 17)
For ages 13 and up - $25 (includes a T Shirt)
Ages 12 and under - $15 (includes a Medal but no T Shirt)
Children in a stroller – Free
Shirts available for additional purchase for 15.00 each all sizes

After March 17
For ages 13 and up - $30 (no T Shirt)
Ages 12 and under - $20 (includes a Medal but no T Shirt)
Children in a stroller – Free
There will be limited quantities of T Shirts available for additional purchase after March 17.

Can I purchase a T Shirt? What do the T Shirts look like?

T Shirts may be purchased for $15 on or before March 17.  A complimentary T Shirt is given to the runners who register before March 17 ages 13 and up.  To see the T Shirt, CLICK HERE.

What safety precautions are being taken for the event?

The organizers of the FBCA Fun Run have taken great care to ensure the safety of those participating in the event.  First Responders will be stationed at either end of the route to give attention to medical concerns, water stations will be set up throughout the route and local law enforcement will assist with the event as well.  The organizers do remind participants to use caution as part of the event will be run on a public road NOT closed to traffic.

By registering for the FBCA Fun Run held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 you agree to the following:

By indicating your acceptance, you understand, agree, warrant and covenant as follows: This release and waiver verifies that I knowingly choose to participate at my own risk in the FBCA Fun Run. I do hereby waive, release and discharge absolutely, completely and forever FBCA Fun Run, and their employees, agents, principles, officers, directors, shareholders, managers, management entities, event sponsors, volunteers, or officials of these organizations from any claim, demands, liabilities, causes of action, judgements, fines, suits, damages, losses or claim of injury (including death) that I may incur as a result of my participation in the event. I further hereby clarify that I have full knowledge of the risks involved in this event, and I am physically fit and sufficiently trained to participate. If, however, as a result of my participation in the FBCA Fun Run, I require medical attentions, I hereby give consent to authorize medical personnel to provide such medical care as deemed necessary by such medical personnel. BY INDICATING YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THIS AGREEMENT AND WAIVER, YOU ARE AFFIRMING THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS AGREEMENT AND WAIVER AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS. YOU UNDERSTAND THAT YOU ARE GIVING UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU ARE SIGNING THE AGREEMENT AND WAIVER FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY, AND INTEND BY YOUR ACCEPTANCE TO BE A COMPLETE AND UNCONDITIONAL RELEASE OF ALL LIABILITY TO THE GREATEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW.
